Backstory: I had a Brute 5 string a few years ago and really enjoyed the light weight and playability. The neck seemed really wide for 5 string with 19mm bridge spacing. I always wondered if you could fit another string on that bass.
Last year I picked up this JJX-5 here on TB with the intention of converting it to a six. I think it turned out pretty well! It's got a few bumps and bruises on the body. The spacing is tight but not too bad. It could use a new nut. I filled and recut the original one for light gauge strings and the A string spacing is a little misaligned (I'll fix it before the sale if time permits). Currently strung EADGCF. Fun to play but I need to raise funds for car repairs
