Details

Up for sale is like new Reiner tube preamp. This is the 12AX7 version and is serial number 001. Tung SOL-AX7's in V-1 and 2 and a 5814A in V3. This preamp is in great condition, has no issues and has been brought up to date by Jon with all of his improvements developed since it was built. ZERO issues. Also has the longer(six foot) power cord.

This preamp has ridiculous gain and is capable of levelling buildings with the distortion it can produce. The design of offering a tight / deep switch is ingenious. The tight setting really helps when you're driving the amp with distortion and the deep switch sounds fantastic for your clean sound. Flat is straight up 12 O'Clock. The EQ is offers great frequency centres. This is a great preamp folks.

As for trades, I might be up for trying Monique.....but also interested in other preamps. I've been hunting for a Kern IP777 for some time....might consider a Read Purity....even a Millennia TD-1 or STT-1 might be a consideration. A Bergantino B Amp is of high interest as well.

The Yamaha PB1 is for sale under a different thread and the QSC is likely staying with me. If someone had an amp they were interested in trading, I might include the QSC in the right deal.....but I'd bet I'd be keeping it. 900W at 4 ohms into my two Bergantino's is just heavenly!

Selling price for the Reiner preamp is $900 firm which includes shipping and paypal fees within Canada or the USA.
Overseas shipping possibly, but there will be a premium. Get in touch for further details.

Jonathan currently warranties this preamp in full provided it isn't modified by any other tech but himself. I've not needed to nor done a thing to it. It's been great. Why trade or sell it?
If I could own every preamp, I would.....but it's not practical. This one offers a fun experience which everyone on here should try.....it is a home grown TB preamp after all!

Best preamp I've ever owned (and I've had a LOT)! Good luck with the sale, but you won't need it. This should be gone by tomorrow.

Such a great preamp built by a great talkbass member. I'm really not sure that I want to part with it.....we'll see what happens!

One thing that's fun with these if you have a stereo power amp and a pair of cabs is to run the quarter inch pre EQ preamp out on the rear (which has its own level control) along with the main preamp out for clean/dirty type rig. Even if you aren't running the gain high for dirt, it adds some cool texture and complexity.

Hmmm......thanks for posting JGR! I am very happy with this preamp.....but you know how it is, trying out different gear costs money and people like the good stuff.....so sacrifices have to made.

I was trying the pre-eq preamp out with my Y Adapter and really liked the sound. Even the Jensen transformer output too was stellar. I'll try mixing the signals as currently I'm running the Reiner through my QSC PLX 1804 with two Bergantino HD410's (4ohms each). It's monstrous.....really it is!
