Details

Fender Precision Special, player plus grade, all there except the thumbrest, knobs are changed, bridge, pickguard, pickups, tuners, battery cover all 1980 Active preamp is fully functional, works like an old Stingray 2 band (set yer bass on 8, yer treble on 3, and look out!), sounds great passive, has-that big '70s snarl. Here's the coolest thing that attracted me - it's got an A neck with a nice deep profile around back. The finish on the neck had been sanded down. Plays great, ships with a correct gold HipShot D tuner, along with the original in the case. Wearing a well seasoned set of DR Pure Blues nickel wound.

The Candy Apple Red finish shows the usual effects of the gold undercoat used on this model, sort of 'orange-peeled', and definitely played. Has that badass reliced look to it!

Weight. Everybody wants to know weight. I don't have a scale that is accurate, but this thing is on the high side of 10 lbs, I get 10.5 on the bathroom scale, so she's definitely period-correct...of course, about 2 pounds of that is that monster bridge, lol! Case is a nice, near new TKL with a black plush interior....

$1250 USD shipped US 48 and Canada...short dough for a Fullerton era Precision that is ready to go to your gig tonight. I was using this bass exclusively for a Pink Floyd tribute, because it sounds like a great 70s P bass should!

No import taxes or duties between US, Canada, and Mexico, on products built in either of the three countries, thanks to NAFTA. Also, since it's a maple board, no CITES issues or forms. I ship to the US via Canada Post/ USPS, thus ensuring no ******** "brokerage fees" that UPS and FedEx like to tack on every once in a while.

Played this one for a while last night, just nails that big, snarly 70's tone....

Back on the block....

Had a few pm s about trades, and here's the deal...I can do Canadian trades, with cash difference either way. I'm old skool, early G&L's, Fenders, MusicMan Classic series....

Pre Special is a great bass, have mine from '81. What I do for trades or importing, fwiw, is ship US gear to Blaine Security Services and go down and bring it across the border myself to Canada. Works for me. GLWTS El Tookay.

Yup, I have been doing that for years, and for a straight sale with documentation ie. paypal invoices, its great. Trades have minimal traceable documentation of value to establish the payable taxes, and that's where CBSA gets cranky...
