I have a John East Music man 2-band preamp V-T-B-jack with added switches for serial/parallel and split-coil on a Stingray control plate. This is ready to go so you don't need to jack up your existing control plate. If you don't want the switches, it's easy just to swap a couple wires around to go back to stock.

Which MM 5 string do you have? I imagine it should drop in-place with a 5 string Classic. I'm not 100% sure about a standard MM 5 string.
