Meet MTD #1990, built in 2010 and in excellent condition. I cannot say enough about how good this bass sounds and plays. I am the original owner, and I bought the bass when Mike first started using makore as a body wood. I was trying to achieve a bass with tones for use in a variety of styles, a workhorse, and the makore was recommended. This wood combination nails the tone goal in spades. There is an inherent heft to this bass's voice and you can dial in a broad tonal palette with a turn of the knob.

I take very good care of my gear. For the sake of disclosure, I will note that there is a scratch on the bridge from a slip of the screwdriver when intonating it. Also some light wear on the tuners, pickup covers, and one of the knobs. There is also a miniscule nick on the headstock, very small and not noticeable in the photo. None of these things are noticeable unless you are looking for flaws. Otherwise the bass is immaculate.
