The fan is powerful and easily noticeable in a quiet room, but I've never noticed it at rehearsals or gigs. Also, speaker output is binding post only. I can throw in a banana plug if you like.
A very cool aspect of this amp is that it's dual-monaural. That is, each channel has an on/off switch for its own power supply (though there is only one power cord). For smaller gigs I would use just one channel and leave the other powered off.
The Stewart has had enough power for my biggest gigs (it gets my Berg NV610 stoopid loud) and weighs only 17 pounds. Along with my solid state Tech21 preamps, it made for a light rack rig.
