Bought this awhile back, however when I received the bass the truss rod nut was stripped. The bass was sent to Kevin Brubaker for repair. Kevin installed a new truss rod and spoke-wheel nut. The repair is rock solid and the truss works as advertised. In addition, he polished and leveled the frets. The only caveat with this bass is Kevin had to cut out a small square piece of the neck heel to accommodate the truss rod removal/replacement. Other than that, the bass plays phenomenally. It 100% nails the 70's J bass sound. The only reason for the sale is the 70's J sound doesn't really fit well in the mix of my current band. For what I'm doing, my Smith reigns supreme. This is a great bass. Who ever picks this up will be pleased.

98' build
9.8 lbs
Ash body
Demeter 3 band preamp
Celinder pups
Omega bridge w/ graphite saddles
custom ebony knobs
brand new Hipshot USA tuning machines
Dimarzio dual purpose strap pins
fresh new set of Ken Smith pressure wounds (used only for two gigs)

disclosures - the bass is a players bass.....there are a few small nicks and dings on the bass. Nothing major, actually for an almost 20 year old bass its in great shape. But for the purpose of this sale, I am disclosing the bass isn't perfect. Additionally, the bone nut has a chipped flat by the D and G string. The grooves are still there, and the strings remain in the grooves......just the flat between the grooves is damaged. And lastly, the obvious truss rod and nut repair I have previously mentioned.

That's a clean repair, Kevin knows his stuff! I've always wanted one of these and wish I could swing it.
