Bought them new from Best Bass Gear ($320 for the set and they're currently backordered).

Split-coil. EMG40 dimensions (4" x 1.5").

it "looks" like the covers can be removed if you take an exacto knife to those two epoxy/glue lines at the back of the pickups in the pic above. can't be absolutely sure. maybe drop a line to carey (nordstrand) or sheldon (dingwall) to be sure?
