This Shen SB150 hybrid bass has had many setup adjustments from it's stock setup and is sounding incredible. The most notable of these upgrades is the chromatic low-c extension. Other things include:
-Professional setup and soundpost adjustment
-Rabbath/Laborie endpin hole drilled (I'm including a wooden endpin w/threaded spike from Quantum Bass Center)
-Regular endpin ground from excessive length
-Tailpiece wire replaced with kevlar
This bass is currently serving me very well as an orchestral performance instrument. It's got a huge, clear sound. Here's a video of it being played:
Here's what it's set up with:
-Pirastro chromcor G+D
-Spirocore weich A+E(C)
-Aluminum bridge-adjusters
-Wolftone eliminator to remove the wolf on A
-New Harmony ball shaped endpin tip
With the bass, I'll include a hefty soft case and a realist lifeline pickup(currently uninstalled)
I'm located in Northeast Iowa, close to the Twin Cities, and Lacrosse.
now $3500
