I had some earlier in both classifieds and forums. Got better in forums, but haven't searched classifieds since.

Only if Im searching for something specific, then Im mostly annoyed that it pulls up sold items from 2013!! Problem is the search doesn't flow in any particular chronological order, just random.
You have to use the "Advance Search" function and then select the particular sub-Forum you want to search and check the Sort by "Most Recent" box

It glitches. A lot. Despite my telling it to only search one board, it still wanders all over TB.

The keyword alert feature here isn't always reliable either.

You have to not only select the one(s) you want to search, but also uncheck the "All Forums" option. It doesn't automatically do that.

If I uncheck all forums and select most recent as described above it works like a champ for me.

Thx.

I thought I did deselect "All Forums," but on the off chance I didn't I'll double check next time use it.

The part I don't get is if for example I put in a term like "Ripper" why did it return no results in classifieds + search child. Which was weird because I had just bought one off the classifieds and I was searching at that point to find the deal link to post feedback.

When you do the search, use the MOST RECENT FIRST function. Or tap date at the top of the screen to order the search by date.

Other than that, the search function never seems to find what I want at a price I'm willing to pay!
I wish they'd fix that. ;)

Learning to use "this forum only " properly opened a new world to me. I always thought checking that box meant searching only TalkBass.com, not the specific subforum I was in! :roflmao:
