The bass is in great shape--a few minor dings. The red tort guard and red "glass-top" knobs make this look like a true custom bass. The previous owner installed Aero Type 1 pickups--I understand these were $250, and the sound is worth every penny.

Actually the neck has a decent width to it, with wider spacing. It's the reason I'm open to part with it, I prefer thinner necks/spacing.

I think 16.5mm at the bridge. I love it for fast finger style and complex lines, but i have a wrist issue that makes slapping difficult and I want wider spacing.

Thanks! And I agree. However, I've seen Cruise 5s in lesser condition/without upgrades sell for this price or more. I'm a little surprised this is still here, but it's a slow market for used instruments right now I think.

Yeah, there's lots of really nice used basses here on the classifieds (and on Reverb) that just sit for months and months...it's a shame...

I have never owned a Jazz/single-coils-only bass before. With the rep that these 2-Tek-equipped Hamers (and Hamers in general) have, it wold be cool to make this one my first...but between some current financial issues and the fact that this bass has a rosewood board (the whole CITES thing; I'm in Canada), it isn't meant to be...
