Lakland Skyline 44-02 tobacco sunburst with maple neck. This is one of the earlier, more desirable made in Korea with the LH3 pickups and preamp. Beautiful grain on top and on neck. Great sonic versatility and playability.
Bass is set up to the 0.008" factory specification neck relief and action and plays great.
I usually play the bass passive (by pulling out volume knob to switch). And of course it has the great tone shaping Lakland active preamp. I really like the J pick-up sound, music man pickup dual coil, and blended with slightly more bridge pick-up but with thick fundamental from Neck pick-up. The mid-range frequency is adjustable inside by set of selector switches.
I don't gig the bass and it is in great shape. It only has very light swirl marks and still has plastic on the back cover. The only damage I see is what looks like a crack in the clear coat between 2 of the knobs. It is not noticeable and hard to get a picture of. The Bass weighs 9 lbs 14 oz and comes shipped packed well and in a hard case.
I like the Lakland feel and sound so much that I purchased a 55-02 (5 string version of this same bass) and need the cash out of this one to pay for it. I will post more pictures and some sound clips if I get a chance.
