For sale Beautiful 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 Fireglo CB Binding Toaster

This is painful but my car just needed $3k worth of repairs to keep it running. This '73 Fireglo 4001 is the cleanest I've ever personally seen. The neck is set with just the slightest bit of relief and really low action. It plays very easily. Checkerboard binding, Toaster neck pickup, wavy Grover tuners. I'm the second owner. I believe the original 3 screw tailpiece was replaced with a newer 5 screw version at some point. I think '73 was the transition year for these tailpieces but it looks like there was a previous one with a slightly larger footprint mounted by some finish wear around the corners. I do have a beautiful, newly re-chromed 3 screw tailpiece that I purchased from TBer Aceonbass. He removed all the casting flaws, machined the bridge pocket to accept the modern spec bridge, and had it replated in a triple process of copper, nickel and chrome. I paid $400 for it. It is also available for what I paid for it. So $3000.00 shipped with the newer tailpiece as is or $3400.00 shipped with both tailpieces. The bass also has vintage knobs on it. Ships in original case. The case has the names "Trix" and "Blaha" stenciled on it
