Details

Schecter Stiletto Session 5-string in excellent, virtually new condition. Purchased from Sweetwater in May 2017, has been used minimally and has never left my house. I had a PLEK setup done, so you know you're getting a bass that plays great with level frets and low action. This bass has an EMG DC40 bridge pickup and EMG 40J neck pickup with some variant of an EMG preamp, operating at 18V. I think the string spacing is either 16.5 or 17mm. Satin finish and an exquisitely smooth neck. Currently strung with DR Sunbeams.

I picked this one because it has beautiful wood grain and came in at only 8.8 pounds IIRC. As you'd expect from a relatively lightweight 35-inch scale 5-string, it will have a touch of neck dive if you don't use a decent, wide strap (the neck dive isn't bad - I've encountered worse, but I prefer to mention anything that could possibly be an issue to ensure a happy buyer).

I have over $900 in the bass between the bass itself and the PLEK setup so I'm taking a good-sized hit, but I've realized once again that 5-strings just aren't for me, which is the only reason for selling. You get to benefit from my most recent failed attempt to make nice with a 5'er and save a good chunk of cash on a fine bass with a PLEK setup (without the hassle of shipping it off to a facility that does them).

$450 shipped via UPS Ground insured to the lower 48. No shipping outside the continental USA. Paypal or postal money order accepted. Not looking for trades at this time. Thanks for looking!

I owned a Riot Session 5 before that was badda$$, but always liked the Stiletto shape better. I’m sure this is an awesome bass!

Very nice. I have never tried a Schecter before. I see they have a fanned fret version of this too.

Curious why there is a DC in the bridge and a J in the neck. Why not two Js or DCs?

Not sure regarding the design reasoning behind the different pickups, though we've seen that sort of configuration on a few other basses, like Musicman Bongo/Stingray/Sterling HS or the Ibanez ATK 800 series that have the added single coil neck pickup.

I do dig MM/J configs. Wonder how the DC compares. Regardless, EMGs are easy to swap :)

I'll continue in PM
