According to the Ampeg this V4-B and matching 215 cabinet are from the 1976-1979 period. I acquired this pair mid-summer in the middle of a gig. I them for the last set, it was awesome. I used the head on one gig just for a giggle and it sounded great. The head works as it should, and has that awesome chewy fat tube sound in spades.
This pair is neither in pristine condition, nor is it beaten up. The pots are clean and all work. The tolex (or whatever they use on it) is in reasonable condition, all in all it's in pretty darned decent shape for a 40 year old set of gear.
