Hello, d.Fly:
What can you say about the sound of this pickup on your bass?
The sound samples online are either on awful basses or poorly produced; the sound is brittle and 'orange,' rather than smooth and dark-chocolatey like a fine bass sounds unamplified.
Did you have to move the element (and the putty) around before you found the "sweet spot"?
What sort of amp or PA did you use with the p/u?
Are you dissatisfied with it, changing to mic only, or changing to another product?
Have you also tried the Stat version of the Schertler?

Hi Richard- Best of the stick on the bodies pickups for me. Very location dependant.
