Details

1983 Pre Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray. All original except pickguard and 1992 pickup and 3 band EQ. Overall in very good shape. Has some wear that should be expected for a 34 year old bass. I love this era of the Pre EB 'Rays because of the 4 bolt neck. Frets are in good shape and the setup is great. Comes with hardshell case. Weight is 9.4 lbs.

$1475 shipped (add $30 west of the Mississippi). No trades.

I used to own this, amazing bass!!!!
This has been one of my favorite 'Rays! It is my birth year bass and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I would keep it as it has been my #1 player but I recently purchased a 1963 P Bass and I have to pay that one off. Choices...choices.

You could always source a 2 band and then sell the 3 band...hmmm. :)

I think the one for sale must have been drilled for a side jack like the three band EB Rays, so it's not as simple as getting a two band preamp and retrofitting.

Yep. It would totally have to be plugged and finish matched. It ain't fun but I've done it before.
