I have read reports that say this amp delivers 600w at 4 or 2 ohms, and others that say it delivers 900w at those loads. Can you tell me which is correct?

These amps were noted for having thermal shutdown issues early-on. Did you have Mesa Boogie do the upgrade that cured this problem, or is it a later model that already had addressed the thermal issues?

EDIT: From your description, it looks like you have a second-generation 900w M9 Carbine, which also would have addressed the thermal shutdown issues.

Also, do you have an idea how much it would cost to ship to PA (Zip Code 19047)?

Thank you -- I am VERY interested, since my Mesa Walkabout head is just not quite powerful enough for use in my 6-piece band, much less for the 9-piece "horn band" that I sometimes play with.

Hi! Sorry for the delay replying, but I’m having trouble finding time while on the road this weekend. I promise you I’ve played this M9 plenty for both quiet theatre shows as well as lots of gigs with an obnoxiously LOUD rocking band driving a pair of Mesa PH115s for the last half-dozen years with absolutely ZERO issues! Fear not!
