For sale is a Peavey Classic 120 Tube Power Amp, made in USA. Uses 4 6L6 tubes and it's plenty loud. Mono amp, fan cooled, XLR direct out, standby switch. If you want an all-tube, US-made power amp for cheap, this is the way to go. It's a tank - simple, well built, but heavy. PRICE DROP $275 shipped.

Yamaha PB1 in photo is SOLD.

Bump for a screaming power amp. Use the 6x6L6 power section on my similar-vintage AlphaBass when I really need to rattle the room. Add your favorite pre and you're ready to rock. Gotta love those tube watts!

He might not want to flip it, but I know where you can pick up a classic 120 for cheap.

Nope. Hanging on to mine. It's a true dual channel amp with the serious cojones. One channel at 120 watts is more than enough, and it sounds fantastic. Someone needs to snag this amp ASAP. Peavey 50/50, 60/60, 120, and 120/120 amps are getting hard to find nowadays.

Guaranteed to outlive multiple owners.

Any chance it can take kt88s or anything besides 6l6s? How old are the tubes in there now...I'm seriously tempted here Dammit. Ha

I don't think KT88s are a direct replacement for 6L6s, so I'd doubt you could just drop them in, but I'm not an expert by any means. I wish I could give you a definitive answer. Maybe someone else on TB knows.

As for the tubes in there now, they were there when I bought it and that's about a year ago, or a bit less. No idea on their age.
