Are those the original pickups? They look like Quarter Pounders to me. I only ask because I have the same bass and an active preamp that I swapped the QPs into, sounds amazing and plays like butter. Jazz neck, P-Body, P and J tone.

View attachment 2892098 E9 serial. Some major dings, hardware aging, and missing the knob caps. Frets are in good shape though, and the neck even has some flame to it! $450 shipped with gig bag for protection.

Trades:
Stingray USA Sub4 with clean neck paint (headstock dings don't bother me)
Mesa D-180 or 400 non-+
Faital 15PR400s or Eminence non-LF 3015s

I also have a white fretless one for sale, in somewhat less "relic'ed" condition.
Damn if this had the black painted neck it would already be at my house!...:meh:

Just making sure....MIJ or MIA, 1.5" nut width, frets not worn, truss rod spins freely, neck is straight, etc.?

@weidnca :

MIJ (I don't think any were MIA),
1.5",
frets are in great shape especially for a 30-year-old instrument (say 80-85%?),
working truss,
no warp or twisting.

Put another way: if I end up parting out, the neck is the one thing I'll keep.

Would you sell the neck alone, and put up the rest on ebay? What's your bottom dollar, as it is?
