This is a David Gage Carbon-Fiber bass case. I've had it for a few years, and have upgraded the latching system/mechanism for easier opening and closing of case. It is extremely sturdy, and comes with inflatable pillows and padding on the inside to facilitate any size bass. My bass is 3/4, and was able to transport it easily. This case can also easily transport a full-size bass or any size bass, as well, as the pillows can be filled according to your size upright bass. This case helps in protecting your bass from the climate change and altitude changes you may experience from driving around the country. Brand new,these cases are over $3,000, I'm asking $1,200, below half of its original price. A few more features this case contains are:
- Wheels on bottom of case for easy rolling.
- Aforementioned inflatable pillows.
- Upgraded locking latches (they were operated by 5/16 size Allen wrench, now it's a heavy-duty thumb latch so you don't have to carry a huge Allen wrench with you.).
- Handles on the top, bottom, and sides of case for loading into any vehicle.
- Rubber sealing on every side, to keep it safe from any water entering the case, and to keep the case extra tight.
- Chords/latches on inside of case to tie your bass in and keep your bass nice and snug.
