Details

This is a Chris Squire Rickenbacker 4001CS Limited Edition Bass. It’s number 756 of 1000 produced and was built in September, 1998. The bass has been in my private collection since new and the certificate of authenticity bears the signature/autograph of the late Chris Squire.

The bass is in nearly perfect condition and has never been played live. It shows no wear
or buckle rash and has only minor imperfections in the pick guard finish and one very small superficial nick in the body- see the photos. The chrome is perfect, and the paint is as it left the factory- no staining or discoloration. The strings are fresh and essentially unplayed. It comes in the original case with blue crushed velvet interior, the unopened polish cloth, and care manual from Rickenbacker.

Chris Squire autographed the Certificate of Authenticity on May 14, 2004 at a YES meet and greet at Strawberry’s Records in Boston, MA- a day before they performed at Tsongas Arena (and filmed the “Songs from Tsongas” DVD). Chris asked about the bass and was surprised to hear that I owned two of them (he was very personable and gracious as he signed both certificates!).

I will ship the bass anywhere in the USA- or pick up locally in the Phoenix area.
Method of payment: PAYPAL
Shipping Carrier: UPS
Shipping fees: $85.
No drama or stories please.

I had one of these maybe 20 years ago. Can't remember the number right now, in the 700's I think. I had a bunch of Ric's at the time, 8-9 maybe. It was a phase. This was the best playing, sounding and looking Ric I had ever owned. Not my thing any more (active 5 guy now) but man, these are nice basses and the best that Rickenbacker has made in my opinion.
