Well, I bought a new bass so now I need to pay for it. Reluctantly selling my AVRI 62 Precision Bass. It has been played and loved. Shows some wear but sets up well and sounds awesome.
If you are familar with the now discontinued AVRI series you know these 62 reissues have the wide flat neck closer to the original early 60s basses. The 63 neck is chunkier. This one has a nice slab of rosewood and the neck feels great.
I think it is from around 2010 but not sure. I am the second owner. Has a handful of small dings all over the body, the worst of them are pictured. Has one deep scratch near where you rest your arm and a bunch of swirls and light pickmarks, many of which do not show up on the photos.
Upgrades include a Fralin pickup and a beautiful nitrate 4 ply tort pickguard. Much nicer and brighter than the original brown tort IMO. Also has Schaller strap locks. Comes with the original parts - including the pickup, guard and strap pegs. Original case included in ok shape with a few scuffs but all latches work.
Weighs a perfect 8 lbs 10 oz. This is a great player and will only get better with age. No trades please.
