This SBMM was originally natural wood. My luthier repainted it to a transparent blue burst. The darker shade of the color goes along the side of the body. Matching headstock front and back w/ hipshot tuners. The SBMM logo was sanded off before paint.
Truss rod works perfectly and it originally had some sharp fret edges which have since been taken care off. I currently have it strung in C# tuning with 110-50 strings and the E string nut has been slightly widened to better fit the string. Electronics work perfectly. Hot output.
This Bass does have some flaws which I just don't have the time or means to take care of right now. I've always had some fret buzz on this bass, I'm not sure whether it's the way I set up my bass, high frets, technique, etc. And as seen in the pics, there are some sanding marks around the outer paint on the headstock. My luthier admitted this mistake.
Shipped in padded gig bag and original box. CONUS only, insured.
Looking to trade for a 5 String in the price range I'm asking. Lower level Ibanez SR305, Schecter, etc...
Updated 2020: The paint has been scratched and scuffed by the lower strap button from a mishap of re-installing a strap button from an old Dimarzio Clip lock strap I had on it. Can provide pictures if desired. I have also given it a pretty decent setup for the lower tuning that it is in. Still not ideal but works for me.
