Details

Ibanez Prestige SR3006 (made in Japan).

I picked this one last year for some recording projects. I don't play 6'ers out much these days and need a P/J or P-Bass for some projects that I have planned.
You will not find a cleaner 15 year old bass. The bass looks pretty much unplayed. Not a scratch or dent on the bass. Setup is good low buzz free action and the weight is just over 9 lbs (9 lbs 4.4 ozs).
Solid mahogany body, wenge/bubinga 5 piece neck with wenge finger board. Lots of growl.
This one was made in Japan and the workmanship is as good as any high end bass that I've owned. Ibanez pickup and preamp (3 -band with sweepable mids).
You absolutely will not find a better playing or sounding 6 string than this one without paying 2-3 times the price.

Trades: Fender or G&L P, JJ, PJ (4 or 5 string)

$800.00 Shipped (FIRM); ($725 for local pickup; Macon/Atlanta GA area)
Pay Pal Preferred
Includes a Warwick gig bag

See post #10 for sound clip of bass.

Thanks for looking!

I have an obsession for wood. The musical kind.

Had one of these years back, before I switched to 5's, and it had serious presence and low action. These, to me, sound better than the 5000 series (current line). The current ones are too dark...would take the 3000 series any day instead.

Ok, so I recorded a sound clip with the bass. It's a Bass Orchestra tune that I wrote several years ago. It has a total of 8 bass parts overdubbed and covers the various sound(s) of the bass fairly well (low B, finger style, lower register, upper register, chordal, slap, bridge p/u and both p/u's).

P.S. Listen with head phones or ear buds (not PC speakers).

I compared the sound with one of my all time favorite Roscoe Signature 3006 basses (also mahogany body with wenge neck) and the tone is so close. And I don't have to tell you how much more the Roscoe cost ....:)

So close to pulling the "for sale" ad again. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
