Selling my very nice Ken Smith BSR5 MW. This is a 2007 model with an 18v preamp. It's in excellent condition and plays and sounds like all Ken Smith bass's. Which is amazing of course. There are a few very minor imperfections that I have attempted to photograph. There is a little wear below the G string where your fingers might hit. Very minor wear. There is a black smudge by the neck joint by the neck bolts. Can be seen in photos. No sure what it is but it's on the surface and I imagine can be cleaned off pretty easily. There is also a couple very small scratch/dings on the maple core of the body on the bottom of the bass and a tiny scratch on the back. These can be seen clearly in the photos. There is also the usual minor lines in the finish on the back like almost all Smiths have. These can only be seen in certain lights and are barely noticeable.
The bass looks beautiful.
The walnut top has some very cool figuring on the bottom half which can be seen in the photos. Looks even nicer in person.
Frets are in good shape. Truss rod works well. All is good with this bass.
Weight is around 9.75 lbs according to my very old bathroom scale. It is average weight for a smith bsr5 mw. Neither light nor overly heavy.
These are 34" scale with 18mm spacing.
Selling because I like getting new bass's. In order to get new bass's I need to sell bass's so there you go.
I am potentially open to trades but it would have to be something really tempting (mtd 535) as I really need to recoup some cash. I would be open to trades plus cash coming my way. Only interested in active 5 strings with 18mm or more spacing.
As for cash I am looking for $2575 shipped in North America with OHSC. I will ship elsewhere at the buyers expense.
