Squier II precision bass with mods, made in India. This thing has a huge neck like a tree trunk on it. It plays very well and sounds good (though the florescent lights in my basement can cause some hum depending on what direction I'm facing while playing it, so it might benefit from a little shielding). A real thump machine. Also the thing weighs a ton. I think the body is actually made of stone, though I haven't taken it apart to verify this theory. EDIT: I weighed it. It's 11 pounds. So not quite a ton.
There are some obvious mods. The hardware has been changed out for black hardware, and the pickguard has been painted a gold color which has aged with a nice patina.
It's in great shape, original pearl white finish is good, frets are good, neck is straight and the action is low.
So if you aren't afraid of the weight, and you like old-school baseball bat necks, this is the bass for you.
Comes in a cheapo gig bag, or for an extra $25 I can ship it in a cheapo hard case.
$200 plus half the shipping cost.
