Big Bass Sell-off #2. Fender (U.S.) '75 Reissue Jazz. This one was made in 2000, which I think was the 2nd year for these. I ordered and bought it new in 2000 from Yarbrough's Music in Memphis, so I'm the only owner. In excellent condition other than normal scratching on the pickguard and a small chip on the back of the bass near the neck-plate (as shown in the pics). This one was my go-to for many years, so it has been gigged a lot, but well-taken care of.

I know people say this all the time, but this is a fantastic bass. Killer tone and playability. I'm getting old, so I've decided to sell off a few of my basses. This one comes with the original case, and most of the case candy. I think the only "candy" missing is the Fender strap that came with it. Both the bridge cover and the neck pickup cover are included. They were never installed.

So why am I selling it if it's so nice? I have a bunch of Jazzes, and this one has been sitting in it's case a lot without being played. The only reason for that is that over the 18 years I've owned it, I've become bored with the look of it. Which is odd, because when I first bought it, I thought it was the most beautiful bass on Earth! I had to have it. (Okay, maybe not "on Earth", but I thought it was gorgeous.) I still get lots of positive comments when I do play it out. But I've become more enamored with other colors, so this Natural beauty has become expendable.

One word of warning though: This is not a lightweight. It weighs in at just over 10 pounds (10 lb., 1 and 1/2 oz.). Not bad with a good strap though. But I know 10 pounds is a deal-breaker for a lot of you.

I don't have or use PayPal, so U.S. Postal Money Order or certified bank check please. But check my feedback.

$1,100.00 for a local sale within commuting distance of Memphis. $1,170 shipped.

Ha ha! YOU said that bassfreakah, not me! As an old guy, I can appreciate how a single pound can make a big difference to a lot of folks; but a good strap makes a world of difference. But you're right. This is a killer-sounding bass...

Bump. I'll be around today, but on the road early tomorrow through Sunday. I won't have access to a computer, so if anybody leaves me a message after today, I won't see it for several days.

I don't mean to hijack your thread bro .... I just felt compelled to help you sell it

I own a lot of basses and I always have a tough time choosing which to play at a jam session or a band rehearsal ... BUT when it comes to a live gig where the sound has to be right ... my '75 AVRI jazz bass is ALWAYS the #1 choice every single time!!!

Killer bass, great price!!! GLWTS!

Ha ha! NEVER apologize for saying something nice! I know what you mean though. These really are great basses. This was my absolute favorite for many years, and the one I gigged with for most of the time. Over the years, I've built up such a nice bunch of basses that I tend to "share the wealth" these days. But this one never disappoints! (And your bass collection is much more impressive and well-rounded than mine!)

Your band and your bass sound great. And thanks for the kind words!

I've been keeping this beauty in it's case at my daughter's house for about a year. I like to keep a bass there at all times just so I'd still have a good bass should anything bad ever happen at my house. Several days ago, I thought I had a buyer for it, but it didn't work out. Bottom line: When I brought it home and played it to make sure everything was still set up and intonated well, I was reminded how great this thing is and how good it sounds. So I'm gonna' keep it. Thanks for looking...
