I have had this in two Mexican Precisions, and it was always an improvement to me over stock.

I do not recall, but I will email them to see if I can find out. This is an older one and the box only says NP4. At the time I was changing from an SPB3, so I probably would have gone the more vintage route if there was a choice. I will see what I can find out.

The response I receivedfrom the friendly folks at Nordstrand was that Alnico III was not offered until 2014. I purchased this around 2012. Therefore, these magnets are Alnico V. Hope that helps.
