Max Kasper bow for sale purchased in 2012. It's probably the nicest looking bow I've ever seen since the wood and mammoth ivory button look amazing. There is two spots, both at the same point on the bow where there was a slight crack about a year after getting it and Max filled it in and fixed it. They're the two mid-bow close up pictures below. The bow has a great clear sound. It's in getting a rehair as I type this.
I'm getting rid of it because I switched back to French about a year and a half ago. I would love to keep it but I can't justify having something worth $2000 kicking around that never gets used.
When I last spoke with Max in 2014 about pricing for insurance he said his new bows were $2700. I haven't spoken with him since so his prices may have gone up. You can also expect a year plus waiting list if buying new, and I don't think his bows usually include features like the fancy button. I'm asking for $2000 CAD shipped within Canada or $2100 CAD shipped to the US. I'm a little worried about shipping it to the US because of the mammoth ivory so I'll need to look into whether or not to expect a problem for that. Mammoth ivory is legal, but I suspect looks very similar to regular ivory.
