This is a beautiful Warwick Katana NT5. It is a five string, neck-through, active bass. The body is AAA flamed maple top with ash back. The neck is flamed maple with ekanga veneer stripes. The fretboard is tigerstripe ebony. The scale length is 34 inches.
The original MEC pickups and preamp work excellently. The controls are: bass, mid, treble, pickup pan, and volume. The volume knob can be pulled out to put the bass into passive mode.
This bass really growls and is great to play. The unique shape is comfortable to hold.
The frets are brass, as is the nut (upgraded from the original Warwick plastic one to a Warwick brass one).
The bass is in very good condition, but it is used. There are a few small dings. There also is some discoloration on the front around the neck pickup where I rest my thumb when I play and on the back from rubbing up against dark jeans.
Included in the sale is an SKB hardshell case, a Protection Racket gig bag, the Warwick truss rod adjustment tool, an allen key set, matching gold Dunlop strap locks, and a new set of Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt strings.
I would be interested in partial trades for something like a 2x10 or 4x10 combo (or head + amp). I do need some cash out of the deal. Actual details can be worked out depending on what you have
Reasonable offers are considered.
Buyer pays shipping (unless you are close--then just pick it up). I live just east of Denver.
