Details

Early Acacia six string. Has FM Electric Basses logo. Flamed maple top, mahoghany core and maple back. Bartolini pickups and three band pre with 3 way mid switch. Khaler bridge. Has some wear but overall in great shape. Sounds great and plays amazingly.

I played a Bluebond six string for years but foolishly sold it and have been looking for it or another Bluebond since. There was an Acacia six string fretless in the window of 8th Street music in Philly that I was always interested in (I guess I have a thing for early 90's philly builders). I saw this Acacia six online at Gutar Center and purchased about a year ago. It's a great bass but I just am not a six string player anymore.

I am trying to fund the purchase of a 65 P bass so only looking to sell, no trades at this time. More photos upon request.

Hi,

I believe it was For Friedman & Morgan. They were partners and after they parted ways Matt continued to build and the name was changed to Acacia.

Can You Please Tell Me The Scale & String Spacing At The Bridge ?

Just measured and it's 34" scale it's hard to say exactly what the string spacing is with the Khaler bridge. You can adjust spacing individually for each string.

Couple observations. The B string sounds massive but very articulate and the tension is very similar to the rest of the strings. Not floppy or not too taught. Just feel natural. I had a Ken Smith Burner 5(original early 90's) and that had I believe 19mm spacing which felt too narrow for me. I can't really get a measurement on the Acacia but it doesn't not feel cramped at all. I would guess maybe closer to 20mm the way it is set up now.

I had the chance to play one of these and was very impressed. If I had the funds I'd be all over it.
