After several years of ownership I've decided to sell my Celinder J Update 5. It's a phenomenal bass all the way around. Priorities in life have changed and I no longer need a 5 string this nice. Deserves to be played, not sitting on a stand.
Celinder J Update 5. Can't remember exactly when I bought it but I've owned it at least the past 5-6 years. Don't know the gig history before I owned it but I only used it on 1 gig. Otherwise, it's been in my smoke-free home. This was originally made in the early 2000's for a gentleman in Copenhagen (confirmed by the maker). Chris also stated that the serial number is stamped in the neck pocket.
Ash body, maple neck, 34.5 inch scale, original C5SC pickups, early version of CP-3 preamp with stacked controls, frequency dip switches in the cavity, Hipshot tuners with drop A. Don't have the exact weight but it's over 10 lbs and can weigh upon request. Reason for the stacked controls as opposed to typical 4 knob is this is a hand-made version of the CP-3 (confirmed by the maker). Overall a clean player's bass and absolute tone monster with that Marcus-style growl. Has a few chips and dings from use, one thin line in the clear coat by the input jack. Tried to capture in pics as much as possible. Could use a professional setup to reach it's full potential. Someone messaged me a while back saying the bridge had been changed but I can't confirm that.
Comes in a hard-soft case. Cashier's check or money order only, no paypal. No trades. Bass is located in lower Alabama. Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking!
