Thinning out and ready to part with my the solid state Ampeg B100R Rocket Bass combo. Ampeg created this limited offering of the B100R to offer a modern, maintenance-free bass combo that many say can provide the sound and tone of the original B-15 Portaflex. In my view not exactly but pretty darn close, with 100 watts.
There are countless threads on TB about this amp and it's a favorite of many This one is in excellent condition. TOlex is clean, without tears or gouges, just a few minor wear marks. Check the pics. It’s not been gigged but used at home as a practice amp.
It drives a vintage-design 15” speaker that has no issues. The controls are easy to use and feature four bands of EQ, plus Ultra Low, Mid and High switches for customizing your sounds. Even has a headphone jack. Has casters for easy moving. If you want to lighten it further for moving, I can throw in an Eminence Basslite 2515 (Neo ) speaker in great condition that is the recommended upgrade for an extra $80. Basslite has very low mileage. I had it in the amp for a while and loved it but put the original back to sell this.
Price is $350, Local only. NO shipping but I will meet up to an hour from New London, CT. No trades expect maybe a Japanese-made Fender jazz or precision bass in very good condition.
