Have a Hipshot BT-1 Bass extender / drop tuner, nickel finish, short key, direct fit for Musicman, G & L, etc., brand new, never installed. Swap for a BT-4(Fender 1983-2007) in chrome ....

Good luck on your hunt. I was in your boat 6 months ago and bought it used from a TBer in Australia. They come up, but rare. Hipshot will custom make you one from a stock tuner off your bass for $75 if you can't wait for one to show up. Maybe something to consider. I can message you the contact info for the hipshot guy in charge of that (or at least the dude I spoke with) if you want.

Yeah. Fender doesn't make those tuners anymore, which means that hipshot has no starting point. I was looking for a BT-4 for quite a long time as well.

Hey, thank you for the offer, great idea if nothing comes up! I’ve had a Hipshot on almost all my basses since 1986 (yeah, even in the Rickenbacker era...), and I use it at every gig.
