This is the sixth or seventh one of these I have owned and when I got it last year, I swore I would never sell it (again). Unfortunately, I crashed my motorcycle and broke my left shoulder and now have nerve damage in my left hand, so I am no longer playing, much less playing out. Other than the one I ordered new when they first came out, this is the nicest one of the bunch, and it it in excellent condition.
The bass is a 2000 model in CAR. I replaced the mint pickguard with a white pearl guard from pickguard heaven- I like it, you may not. It was professionally installed and I will include original mint guard with sale. The bass has all hardware intact (including tone and volume caps which are usually missing) and rust free.
There are a couple of small scratches on the back, and one tiny dent on the head stock, which you can't see unless you are REALLY picking. No cracks or splits and everything works just as it should. This is a really nice bass, as nice as you are gonna find for one this age. These are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition. This is the ultimate passive five string and will do just about anything you want from old school thump to modern. It is wearing a brand new set of TI flats right now.
I figure everyone here knows what these basses are, but the basics:
34" scale ( and yes, the b string is rock solid)
twin passive Lawrence custom shop design humbuckers with split coils
twin coil switches along with a strat style pickup selector switch
asymmetrical neck which is 1.85" at the nut
a little over 10 lbs on my bathroom scale
It comes in a tweed case which is in mint condition.
I am NOT looking for trades...….if I could play, I would keep this one. I have priced it fairly for what it is and really need to sell it. I will ship it to you in the lower 48 for $1600
As always, thanks for looking
