Please don't take this the wrong way but you decided after 30 minutes you couldn't deal with a five string? I'd say give it some time. My first shot at a fiver ended up with me selling it as well, but after starting to play at my church it was obvious there was so much music that called for the low string notes that I picked up a Sterling by MusicMan 35 and then finally my current Sterling 5 (same model as yours but not nearly as striking in a natural finish). It took a while for me not to reflexively think the lowest string was an E and playing a few clunkers just by muscle memory but it does get better after a while. Trust me, you'll love ending a song on a low D or C- so much power!
