It’s time to move this fine instrument along to someone who will play it more than I do. Too many basses, not enough time.
1978 Alembic Series 2
Small Standard body
Rosewood top and back laminates
Zebra wood accent edging
MEDIUM scale 32” (not many of these out there)
7-piece neck
Refretted by Philtone a few years ago
Weighs approximately 12 lbs.
Comes with newer power supply and grey 5-pin cable; both in excellent shape
Includes very light-duty soft case in which I received the bass.
The sound is as magnificent as you would expect.
It’s no closet queen; this bass has been played. It’s got dings. I’ve never experienced noise issues; this bass should not need the electronics upgrade. I would rate it to be in very good condition.
I prefer a cash sale, but can entertain cash plus trade involving these items:
Sadowsky 4 or 5 strings 9lbs or under
Alembics under 9 lbs.
German Hofner basses
Ampeg SVT or V4 heads
Vintage Fender tube amps
Fender custom shop basses
Gibson guitars
