The ad clearly and (originally) states 2007 as the build year.
The person who brought the bass into me said it was a 2008, and he had purchased the instrument from a very reputable East Coast Bass Shop. He also informed me that he had bought it online. This very kind and respectful Bassist is one of the most impressive young Gospel Artists in the hood. He has just acquired a sick custom ordered MTD 535 and was moving away from the 6 string.

Most MTD Owners/Artists/ Endorsers are familiar with the fact that Mike ships all of his USA basses with documentation. This instrument had none. Thus, I called Mike to place the year exactly for my references (in case I wanted to sell it).

Too, it is understandable (that experienced MTD cats-Tim Tyler) might want to be certain that the listed year is the actual year.
So I ask what do you think it should be ?--respondent said it was similar to 2006 he had owned. Okay so far, so good.
The years 2006 (TB'er).
2007 (Mike Tobias).
2008 (Dealer who sold) are all in the ball park, no ?
And the winner is--Mike Tobias.

My experience on this forum concludes it is both easy to offend and be offended, even if that is NOT the desired intent.
