I am thinning the herd prior to an international move so this very cool 1986 Made-in-Japan P-Lyte Deluxe is up for grabs. These is an incredibly light bass at 7.8 lbs and has a jazz type neck with 1.5in nut, P bass neck pickup and J bass bridge pickup. The high mass bridge can be strung through or top loaded (currently strung through). The body is mahogany as was standard with the deluxe version, also has gold hardware (fading in places as you can see from the photos) and active pickups with Vol, Blend and 3-band EQ. The blend pot is the tiniest bit scratchy. When I bought this one, I shielded the pickup cavities and the pre-amp cavity - never had any issues but I wanted it as quiet as possible - and it is. This will come with the original Fender poly hard case.
I have owned this about 10 years, but have hardly used it in that time. The condition is very good, with just the odd mark here and there, and nothing obvious - you have to look hard. For a 32 year old bass, this really is in remarkable condition. The strings are old and will need to be replaced, I only hesitate to do that before selling as everyone has their preference.
