Here is a set of Nordstrand NJ5FS pickups that I just pulled from my Fender USA Marcus Miller 5 String bass. I got them here on TB earlier this year. Since these are the split coil versions, they are very quiet on the 60 cycle hum end. Unlike many other dual, split coil Jazz Bass pickups, these actually have a true Single Coil voice. Bell like tones on the low B. The a semi smooth, with the Treble or Passive Tone control rolled off. With the tone or treble control opened up, they can sound crunchy and mean when you really dig into them.
I'm selling them because they are probably "Too Good" sounding and surely have more top end than I hear in my head. For this reason, I am going back to a Deep Coil Bart set. I had them running into my solderless, Sadowsky OnBoard The leads are easily around 7-8" in length. More than enough for a standard Jazz Bass set up.
