FOR SALE ONLY (No Trades)
1997 Warwick Thumb Neck-Thru 4 String Bass
Serial # E038235-97
Her name is “Clementine”
Working Condition 10/10
Physical Condition 7/10
This has been my primary bass for the past 14 years and over 2500 gigs. It still sounds and plays beautifully and I hate to let it go, but life and priorities do change....
Modifications
Re-fretted with stainless steel frets approx 6 years ago. Virtually no wear on current frets.
Damage (aka Character)
All original parts (except frets and volume knobs)
I am including a ATA lockable Gator Hardshell Case. The case has average scuffing on the outside and one small tear in the interior, otherwise in great condition.
Keys and trussrod tool are included. I just had it professionally set up and inspected last week . New .45-.105 round wounds and new batteries.
If you are serious about a Warwick, you know how much these original ones can go for . I chose to lower the price instead of replacing the pickups. That way you can choose what to do. I have always had it professionally serviced and have taken great care of the wood.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Asking $1700 plus shipping or you can pick it up in Charlotte, NC if you are local

Damage (aka Character)
- The pickups have significant string damage, but are still 100% functional.
- There is some minor string damage around where the neck meets body
- I had moved the neck side straplock to the back of the upper horn. It has now been repositioned to the original mount point, but the hole is still there.
- There is a worn in divot around the neck position pickup from my thumb
- There are minor dents and scratches in various places around the bass
- Worn spots on a couple of the tuning keys
