A great bass I bought new last year to get a PJ back in my life. I'm not too keen on getting rid of this, but I'm running out of wall space to hang guitars and it's not getting a lot of time.
It's a little hard to find reviews for this as the previous version had the same name, but this is the new version of the MIM PJ active bass. Differences from the old model are a standard pickguard (non-metallic), 18V preamp, active/passive switch, and a contoured heel.
It plays fantastically. The neck is a polished satin finished that is as slick as any I've played.
I bought this new, non B-stock, but it does have some paint mess-ups here and there, but nothing very visible from normal distances. I've tried to capture them in the photos. Other than that, there's no player wear and it's only left my house to go to practice.
Only things I've changed are the strings to tapewounds, added a drop tuner, and swapped the strap locks. I'll put the originals back on before I ship unless you want these black Schaller ones.
- Surf pearl metallic (I tried to capture the sparkles, it's an amazing color)
- Hipshot bass extender (will include original tuner as well. Installation required no additional holes)
- Strung with D'addario tape wounds
- Can include LaBella golden tapewounds if you want

- Original Fender gig bag included (used to send another bass to the shop, so don't have pics atm)
