I can’t help but to alter my lower cost basses. So, this is one of them.

I hated the neck on the BB434, so I sold it, bought a new neck for my other project, threw this MM on the Yamaha, after using a fretless on it for a few months. The MM is a 20 fret (BB434 is a 21) so I had to place the bridge 1/4” back.

Through body is still possible, but the E is 4/5 cents sharp, top load is golden.

I had an ashtray, will still fit, just needs two new screw holes.

I switched the stock tuners for Schallers, which are now on the MM. There is a slight gap on the neck pocket corners, otherwise it is an extremely tight, solid fit.

These basses are a pain to sell, as we all know, so I priced it nice and low. For a low cost bass, it packs a solid punch.

Pickup is definitely preferred.

I'm thinking of buying a BB434 as the neck is 40 mm at the nut, close to my old 79 musicman, interested to know what you didn't like about the Yamaha neck !

If the seller is banned and this didn't get sold, can someone adjust the status and/or remove it? I keep wandering by this post only to be disappointed...

Fair point. There's no standard procedure for that, but you could report the original post and one of the forum mods (of which I am not one) should be able to do it. They do often like to leave even obsolete sale posts up though, in case anyone wants information, price comparisons etc. But it doesn't hurt to ask.
