I’m putting this back up for sale. This bass was made as a direct copy from my trusty early 1959 P-bass. The neck is from a 2011 Fender MIM 50`s Precision that had the poly finish stripped, and refinished with nitro lacquer. The back side of the neck was sanded and oiled to give a nice broke-in feel. Tuners are Gotoh Res-O-Lites that were slightly reliced.
The slab body is super light swamp ash with a authentic nitro lacquer 3 tone sunburst. It has been reliced to match my 59 P. All the wear and dings match that bass. The weight of the bass is just under 8 Lbs.
The bridge and pickguard are Fender replacement parts, reliced also.
Pickup is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity I, and the capacitor is a "phone book" reproduction by luxe Radio.
Bass plays great with medium-low action. Sounds like a great 50`s P-bass should.
Asking $775.00 shipped. Please ask any further questions.
