Details

500W RMS @ 4 ohm, Class D bass amp with TONS of features but weighing in at less than 5 lb. One of the warmest sounding Class D heads. This amp is LOUD but sounds great at practice volumes too. Articulate, fast response with a lot of headroom. Has a great Eq section (4 bands, 16 dB boost or cut), complemented by the VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) controls that can be used to dial in old-school tone. Auxiliary input and headphone out allows for practice anywhere. Tuner out and effects loop, speakON and 1/4 in speaker jacks, Pre/post EQ switch for the Balanced XLR DI output, separate levels for Line Out, Headphones, and Master.

I am the original owner. It is in excellent condition, used only in home, never gigged, never dimed. (Neither my eardrums nor my ceiling tiles could handle more than gain at noon master at 2:00 through my 4 ohm GK cab). Includes shipping to CONUS in original box with power cord.

Thanks. I'm hoping to send it to a new home, it's too sweet of an amp to be gathering dust as a backup!

Curious, how does this differ from a Little mark other than size? Is it smaller?
Different eq points? Anything?
Head phone capability

Thanks for your interest. Yes, this amp is still available.

There are several models of the Little Mark heads, which differ quite a bit. I have not played any of the others. There is a tube model that I would guess sounds different and is a few hundred $ more. The Blackline Little Mark is only 250 watts. The Little Mark III looks to be the most similar, but there are a couple of very useful features that the Big Bang has over the Little Mark III. The Big Bang has Phones out as well as an Auxiliary Input that can be used to plug in another source for practicing or performing (iPad, phone, etc). Size is similar to Little Mark III, although Big Bang is slightly less than 5 lb vs slightly more than 6 for LM III.

Similar but not identical EQ points. Big Bang points are very useful, it is really easy to dial in the sound you want. Gain and output power are the same between Big Bang and LM III. Big Bang gets really loud if you need it. Sounds good at practice volumes too.

Here are the Big Bang EQ points:
LOW center frequency 40 Hz; level: +/- 16 dB (better for Fivers vs 60 Hz of LM III in my opinion)
MID LOW center frequency 360 Hz; level: +/- 16 dB
MID HIGH center frequency 800 Hz; level: +/- 16 dB
HIGH center frequency 10 kHz; level: +/- 16 dB
VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) max. cut range: 250 Hz – 20 kHz
VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut)

Here are LM III:
  • Low: Center frequency 60Hz, level ±16dB
  • Low Mid: Center frequency 360Hz, level ±16dB
  • High Mid: Center frequency 800Hz, level ±16dB
  • High: 5kHz shelf, level ±16dB
  • VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter): Center frequency 380Hz (cut)
  • VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator): Frequency range 250Hz-20 kHz (cut)
