Thank you for looking at my ad for this 2006 Modulus Q5. I have traded and sold several basses here on Talkbass, and have done over 50 high end basses on Ebay over the years.
This bass is in immaculate condition. As the title says- 2006 build- this bass would make most new basses on the wall of your local GC look shabby. Who ever owned it never took it out of the case.

The finish front and back is perfect- no scratches, nicks or buckle rash. The picture of the back of the bass shows the original plastic still on the control cavity cover. When I acquired this bass a couple of years back I had some issues with the electronics so I sent it back to the Modulus folks to get it sorted out. They installed a new Bartolini NTMB pre-amp and set the bass up. It came back perfect- you will not be disappointed when you see this bass.
Bass is sporting a new set of DR True Blues, plays great and sounds great. My reason for selling is I have my eye on another and can only justify having so much money hanging on the wall of my studio. Bass will ship in the original Modulus hard case and will be packed, shipped and insured by UPS, I will pay shipping to a buyer in the CONUS.
Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional pictures or information. As far as potential trades- I might consider a really pristine Mike Lull MV5 with a 35"scale. Hit me up if you have some other different ideas.
This bass now retails on the Modulus website for $6745- you literally won't be able to tell this one from a brand new one.

I had that exact bass specced down to the black cherry color and 5A quilted top, except mine was a 2001. This is a great bass and is one of 2 basses I regret letting go in my 25 years of bass playing.

Looks like Quantums have appreciated in value quite a bit since I sold my Q5, too. Someone will be happy to have it.

It does have a truss rod. The truss rod was adjusted when the Modulus guys set it up. That was a year ago. Stays in tune for a month at a time, intonation is perfect to my tuner and ears.

Jon, really great sounding and playing bass. I adjusted the action down just a tad, truss rod in perfect condition and did it's job. Thanks again man!

Had a question for you. What did you use on the body to keep it so clean (brand of cleaner/polish, and type of cloth)? Is is crazy clean...how did you keep this bass so clean??? Lol! My last Modulus became hazy...I must have been using something too abrasive.

Thank you sir!

Just want to give an update! I've replaced everything on this 2006 Quantum, new brass bridge, knobs, preamp (twice with Bart NTMB), pickups twice (with GGM45CX's), new tuners, and shielded all cavities. I've also spent about 10 hours polishing the clear coat down to mint - no scratches.

I had the darnedest time getting the sound right, thus the run through preamps and pickups and a lot of $$$. BUT, finally, it sounds like it should, phat, crystal clear and perfect, like my original 2002 modulus. It was worth all the time and expense. Thanks again for the mint condition shell again Jon - really, it's an awesome bass. It is working out great and looks fantastic!
