Details

This is a well-built bass in good condition. It has a set of DR Pure Blue strings and comes in a Fender padded case. The stock MK1 pickups have been upgraded to a set of Bartolini MK5CBC Classic Bass Dual Coils which provide a fuller more balanced sound. They were recommended by Max at bestbassgear and are a definite improvement. The new pickups and padded case were $300. Weight is 8.5 lbs with 18 mm string spacing at the bridge and 1.75” wide nut. The only reason I am selling is to help fund a custom build. This link has full specs and a link to the demo video. $750 shipped CONUS.

I had one of those basses and they are quite good, I did the same upgrade with the pups but went back to the stock Mk1 which I liked better, I felt they were voiced for that instrument, the MK1's are really what Bartolini now calls the 2J squared pickups

The MK1 definitely works with it. I just preferred the classic dual coils. The MK1 pair will be included along with a Straplock for the upper body pin.

I've got one with the same pickups plus a Bart preamp and it's my favorite 5 string bass by far. Light weight, great neck and action. All that for $750 is a killer deal!

Yes, I just swapped the pickups. The stock preamp is pretty versatile.

Potential trade interest: Ibanez SR755 NTF (P/J) or Topaz SRMS805

One thing a lot of people don't realize is that the 18mm string spacing is a little wider than a typical Ibanez 5 string. To me that makes it ideal because sometimes I feel a little crowded with narrower spacing, but it's still easier to play than a bass with 19mm spacing.
