FOR SALE: Early 2000's US Lakland 55-94 deluxe with barts. Bass is in great condition both cosmetically and functionally. A need for cash has arisen and i must make an attempt to liquidate some gear. Weight is just above 8.5 lbs on my bathroom scale. There are a couple of small dings on the bass. These are circled in the last two pictures. Asking $2400 including shipping to the lower 48.

Because of the need for cash my trade list is small and exact. The only things i can justify not getting the cash for are:
US Lakland Joe Osborne 5, or 55-60
I might consider a trade for the right Fbass, or Sadowsky.

PM me with any Questions or offers

Thanks for Looking

Swiss Army knife of all basses, so many voices, so many tones, I will never get rid of mine! Have laughingly requested my bass be buried with me and she is not half as pretty as your girl. Your posting leaves me wondering what you have to replace this wonderful bass, I love hearing Talkbass member "Dan Lutz" play his old silver 55-94 with recording artist Johnathan Butler on Youtube. This is a mighty bass, and I assure you the new owner will be happy with the bass, and the wonderful price of this bass! GLWYS!

I’ve been out of town for a bit and don’t like to put that out on the internet prior to leaving. Sorry for the inconvenience. The bass is still available. I should also have some better pictures to put up soon.

Beautiful bass! One question--How does the neck compare to a skyline 5502?
Fatter, slimmer, wider, etc. I know The Lakland website has specs but like thoughts from actual user/owners.

As for the 55-94’s I’ve played vs the 55-02’s and 55-01’s I’ve played. I find the necks on the US basses a bit slimmer from front to back. It’s not that major of a thing, but I can feel it. The bigger difference is the finish. All of the US laklands I’ve owned have had sanded smooth oil finish backs. All of the others i’ve played have had some degree of laquer on the backside their necks. I hope this helps.
