Up for sale is my Spector NS5-CRFM in Black Cherry with a figured maple top. Features put this one manufactured between 1999-2001 in the Czech Republic. Overall, the bass is in very good condition with a few minor dings and bumps on the back and along the edges. One finish flaw to note is there is a slight nick on the top near the bass cutaway that has been well masked with paint although it is noticeable.
I tried to capture all finish items in the photos. There’s a faint crack in the rear control cover but it’s not currently an issue.
The bass plays and sounds fantastic with that distinctive Spector growl. Neck is straight and action is low with no buzzing unless you really start digging in,...but isn’t that what makes these Spectors sound so unique? The truss rod is fully functional.
Features:- 35” scale, EMG 40DC pickups- This one has stock the EMG 9V two-band preamp EQ- all maple body with solid maple wings (not the "sandwich" of the current Euros)- neck through construction, rosewood fingerboard (or is it pau ferro like the US models?) with mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays.
No case but will ship well packed within in a padded gig bag.
This is a MONSTER bass, both in playability and tone.
